WATER & DRAINAGE / 3 min read

Compatible with a water kit does not mean included.

Separate the robot, the dock, the kit and the installation quote.

Published 7 October 2026 · Practical guidance, not an installation certification

There are four separate questions

Ask whether the exact robot and dock support plumbing; whether the right kit is in the selected package; whether installation is included; and whether your home meets the installation conditions. A yes to one is not a yes to all four.

Read the selected variant at checkout

Dreame Malaysia lists X60 Ultra separately from X60 Master + Onsite Installation (WM Only). Roborock describes refill-and-drainage versions as distinct, region-dependent variants. Do not transfer the promises of one package to another.

Get the exclusions in writing

Ask the seller to confirm the kit model, labour coverage, travel area, pipe lengths, permitted water pressure, drainage requirements and any extra charge for non-standard work. Check the current terms rather than assuming an installation illustration describes your home.

No water point? Consider a tank dock

A tank-based dock may avoid plumbing work, but it does not remove the need to refill clean water and empty dirty water. Decide whether that routine is acceptable before committing to a cabinet or a robot.
